And there is no such thing as 'Asian values'

Filial Piety,
Respect for Elders,
Opposition to dissent and
Conformity in Schools...= Asian Values
=============================================================

You were guilty of that too, not just politicians.
Some students use it to moralize heavily about various social issues in GP, trapped by a reductionist fallacy, only to point to their own naivety towards various issues.

It is but another 'phantom concept', as argued by Lehmann.

I hope that will explain why there is a need to hedge it with care, with inverted commas each time it is sprinkled in liberal doses in some essays.

See the beauty in punctuation and stylistics, in both function and context, beyond Paper 2 skills.

Let us then unmask the entrenched myth behind "Asian Values"-
